Q DOT DAVIS PROMOTIONS
Tbh this question is a hard one for me personally... I've only lived in 2 main places Arizona & Texas .. I was born and raised in Arizona , but I grew up in Texas. But if I had to only choose one ... I'd say I Rep Tempe Arizona ... that's where my journey started and one day that's where I hope it ends. But Texas taught me a lot , looked after me , I'm Greatful To Everyone I've met there and without that experience I'd never be the artist I am now.
ITS REAL. These are stories of real experiences I've witnessed, been in, and story's from others to prevent me from making any mistakes. You can feel it. I make music people genuinely will feel these are relatable things that's people have probably witnessed or been in too, a honest opinion from me really wouldn't do it much justice , you'd just have to listen , hear the words and just let the emotion hit a vibe and just go with it. Some things will be sad some things will be lit and some things will be chill, and some things will just be what it is. Rap or Hiphop.
The experiences I have come across within my life. Literally is the whole shape for my music, a book of audio filed lyrics.
I'd have to say around my high school years is when I wanted to start professionally getting into music as a career ; now don't get me wrong I've loved music since I was 8 and I've always wanted to be the next best In the game ... its always been a dream , but back then I didn't have the confidence, business mindset, or even the info needed to know how to start it up. All I had was 2 things. Raw Talent and A strong will. So I kept holding on to that and honed my rapping abilities once I got to freshmen year I was "IGHT" sophomore I got better and after then junior year and so On and so on.
I listen to anything that can give me some type of general feeling. Or depending on my mood is depending on the type of music I'll want to listen to.
Damn that's hard .... well I think that ... man there's so many ..... but I gotta go with ...... IDK. I feel like out of this new wave of artist that are starting to burst through the scene IDK is most definitely an elite lyricist and I feel like he takes music passed a place where you just gotta have that open mind to understand the issue or point he try's to bring across in his music but not only that he is very versatile when it comes to certain flows songs and beats I just feel like he should be hyped just a little more. ( honorable mention) : Smino, He go In too, with his crazy ass flows. He coming.
I phase out focus on breathe control , calm my nerves , freestyle to get me loose , listen to my songs back to back and most importantly, Talk to God before I go on. It's a whole routine tbh lol.
Bars. If I got a good bar hitting in a song that's where I'll start going crazy with the flow.
I'd have to say on my spare time ..... it's either working out or Gaming .... and I guess I can sneak in playing basketball, it's just hard to find a inside gym in Texas sometime 😅.
Any type of elevation, I say if you can say by the end of the day everyday "I feel like I'm a better me then I was yesterday because of this this and that." Then that's success to me and that could be with anything.
STOP CHASING HITS. The more you gonna try and make a hit the more IT AINT GONNA HIT just do what you know you can do polish it out and the picture starts looking nice down the line:
